Art therapy is a beautiful way to connect with your unconscious, unveiling and exploring what can be difficult to be put into words through unintentional watercolour painting.

How it works:

Two Pages, One Shared Dialogue : Navigating Art Therapy Together

In my practice, art therapy is a shared experience, but your canvas remains entirely your own. Often, we will paint simultaneously using watercolour - each of us on our own piece of paper.

For many, a blank page can trigger anxiety or the pressure to perform. By picking up a brush and working on my own paper alongside you, we gently dissolve this tension. My creative presence in the room acts as an anchor, inviting a sense of playfulness, curiosity, and freedom that quietens your inner critic. You are not being watched or judged, we are in the creative process together.

From a psychodynamic perspective, these two separate pages enter into a profound silent conversation. WHat therapists call the transference and countertransference dynamic naturally unfolds between our artworks. Through the fluid movement of watercolour, deeply buried or split-off emotional material from your psyche can find a safe resonance and echo wothin my own painting process. This unique non-verbal dialogue allows unspeakable experiences to be visualised, safely held, and gently guided toward integration.

Each session lasts 2 hours, with time to paint and reflect. If you feel drawn to exploring your “unspeakable”in a safe, creative way, you’re very welcome.
